Samuel was raised in Puerto Rico and recruited to Miami to play High School basketball. He earned a scholarship to play collegiate Basketball at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia where he competed in the Final Four tournament in 2006. Samuel then returned to South Florida to graduate from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
